Happy New Year 2009

So sad we missed you over the December and Christmas. Here's your chance to catch up with us.

Here’s a quick list of things happening with International Student Ministry (ISM) at the UofT.

Sunday January 11 - 5pm - The York University ISM Group is coming to Nathan Phillips Square to skate. UofT are invited to join in. Contact Tony at ISMchaplain@gmail.com or 647-521-2076

Saturday January 17 – 3pm-5pm - Badminton Meet at the Chinese Presbyterian Church, 177 Beverley Street, 2 blocks south of College Street or 2 blocks north of the Art Gallery of Ontario. Enter through the gym entrance on Baldwin Street. We have rackets but you can bring your own if you want.

Sunday January 18 –11am - Tony is speaking at the Chinese Presbytarian Church in the gym (See above) at the 11am service. You’re invited to come along and maybe go out for lunch in Chinatown after the service.

Saturday January 31 – 3pm-7pm Lunar New Year party and International Christmas reunion - Come and celebrate lunar New Year Festival and have fun together. Anyone is welcome both those who went to International Christmas and anyone else. Bring: some food to share, or bring material to make dumplings or bring dumplings to cook Please NO NUTS OR PEANUTS. Location: Willowdale Baptist Church, Go to the Finch subway Station, leave the station on the South-East exit. Walk towards the Esso garage and from there you can see the back entrance of the church on Olive street.

Saturday February 14 – 12.30pm until late evening - A visit to the Niagara Escarpment in winter. A short hike and climbing into crevices, looking at a ruined watermill etc, then dinner with a host family. Come with warm older clothing, come to have a good time and a healthy appetite. Come with 10 dollars. You need to book a place.
