Grand River Rafting

Though the Grand River Valley is just 90 minutes from Toronto you'll be stepping into part of the Great Canadian Outdoors.  As we paddle 4 hours downstream we'll see a natural spring,an abandoned mine and a lookout.  We'll learn about edible plants and native culture.  We'll compete with each other for the fastest raft award try body surfing (optional!). http://www.grandriverrafting.ca/
 

Crawford Lake

Crawford Lake is a short 1 hour bus ride from Toronto but it’s a step back 600 years in time to this 15th Century reconstructed Iroquoian village.  We’ll learn about their culture and way of life.  We’ll also have a somewhat rugged hike to a lookout of the Nottawasaga Canyon (part of the Niagara Escarpment).  We’ll also hike around the rare meromictic Crawford Lake.

Mid-Autumn Festival Potluck

Come and celebrate Korean 추석 Chuseok and, Chinese中秋节; 中秋節  Zhongqiu. Join us, bring some food, play a few games and share your country's harvest festival traditions in food and story. We'll be in the gym at the Chinese Presbytarian Church on the corner of Beverly Street and Baldwin Street. This building is two blocks south of the UofT Bookstore on College Street.
