BIKE RIDE to the BEACHES Saturday June 21 11am

The Beaches are a great part of Toronto, a sort of Canadian California. (not exactly!) Instead of riding up the Don Valley Trail we will ride south and then East. We'll see some of Toronto's Industrial past and also urban renewal. Bring water, food and sunscreen and we'll have a great day out. Please let me know if you can come.

TORONTO ISLAND PICNIC BBQ Saturday July 5 10.15am

The Toronto Islands are great place for biking and inline skating, bring them if you want to see the other islands. It gives a great view of Downtown Toronto. It's also a great place for picnic, BBQ's, games, sports and good conversation. We will be based on Hanlan's island but Centre island Olympic island and Ward island are worth staying on to visit after the picnic BBQ.

Getting there: Meet at The Toronto Ferry Docks at 10.15am. Go to Union Station, take the streetcar 509 Harbourfront or the 510 Spadina south to the Bay and Queen's Quay Stop. The entrance to the ferry docks is on the south side of the street, just east of the Westin Harbour Castle hotel. Otherwise if you're biking come straight down Bay Street which is on the East side of the campus.

Bring: Bring something to drink and your own lunch and food - We will provide hot charcoal so you can barbecue. Make sure your food is quick cook like Yakitori, bacon, or thin sliced meat or pre-cooked.

Cost: - TTC fare but also plus Ferry Fares (Include Return) $6.00 Children under 14 $2.50 We will also ask for a suggested donation towards booking the site and charcoal coast of $2

If you miss the 10.45 am ferry To HANLAN"S POINT (gate 4) the next ferry crossing is 11.15am. At Hanlan's Point walk from the ferry terminal and we hope to be close to the tennis courts.
